Cremations

Affinity Veterinary Cremations provides a "sensitive alternative" for pet owners. Cremation is a viable alternative to burial or city disposal for the following reasons:

• Possibility of relocation
• City code may prohibit such action
• Emotional stress involved

Affinity Veterinary Cremations can alleviate many of the problems involved with pet deaths and burials. We will pick up the pet from the veterinary clinic that you use in the area or else you may bring the pet into our clinic. A staff member will notify you as soon as the cremation process has been completed. Arrangements may be made for delivery of the remains by UPS.

If you decide cremation meets your needs...

You may drop off the remains or request for a pick up from your veterinarian. The remains will be transported to the crematorium and placed in cool storage until the crematorium is free to be used. Each pet is cremated individually, therefore it may take up to a week to complete due to necessary cool down time so the remains may be safely handled. The process will be completed and the remains will be placed in a plastic bag and put into a temporary hard plastic storage container. At this time, you will be notified to pick up your pet's ashes. An urn may be selected from our display or ordered from one of our many catalogs at any time during the process or after. We will be happy to transfer the ashes to the permanent urn of your choice.
